Mashed Cauliflower
by bronxelfI'll say this up front- there's really little way to get this stuff to look attractive. Most of the photos I took made it look like a bowl full of regurgitated dryer lint.
That being said, it is seriously tasty, and it makes an *excellent* low-carb substitution for mashed potatoes.
ingredients
- a head of cauliflower
- chopped fresh garlic
- black pepper
- salt
- 1 Tbs. cream or milk.
method
Wash a head of cauliflower and break it into florets.
Boil the florets until they're tender when stabbed with a fork.
Drain them.
Add 3tbs butter, some salt and pepper, an assload of chopped garlic and about a teaspoon of cream.
Use your mashing or blending implement of choice (processor, immersion blender, potato masher, centrifuge...) and make food.
The end.
That's the whole thing. REALLY tasty side dish with zero effort required.
